Hi! I’m Michele. I raise beautiful Biewer Yorkshire Terriers with the help of my son Dane. Sleepy Hollow began with Nancy in Abbeville, SC. We have taken over her breeding program as her health no longer allows her to handle the responsibility of Sleepy Hollow Biewers. We seek to ethically improve the breed as a whole while offering loving companions. We aim to be transparent with our bloodlines and are proud to have champions in our pedigrees. Our parents have been imported from Ukraine and are of European bloodlines. They are part of European registries, but all have been dual-registered with the Biewer Yorkie Association- the largest Biewer Terrier registry in the US. All of our parents have three-generation pedigree certificates and they will be displayed with each available puppy.

The Biewer Terrier is a newly recognized breed of specialty terriers in the US, though it has been around for quite a while in Europe. It derived from a recessive piebald trait in Yorkshire Terriers. The first tri-colored Yorkshire Terrier was born to Mr. and Mrs. Biewer in 1984, and hence received its name. The Biewer Terrier was the first breed to exclusively use genetic testing to determine purebred status. Biewers were featured for the first time in the Westminster Dog show in 2021.

Biewer Terriers can be described as dedicated, loyal, and friendly. They are typically hearty and athletic, and as customary for terrier breeds, love to chase squirrels and other small vermin.
